We prefer not to pitch for clients. We reckon there’s a better way to do things – we focus on building long-lasting relationships that involve open dialogue, great work and brilliant results. Our preference is to share our credentials and case studies and demonstrate evidence of the sorts of successful business outcomes we’ve created for our clients.

We’re experts at identifying forums and opportunities for businesses to communicate their expertise, to potential partners and other like-minded organisations – via targeted earned media activity, event engagement, content creation, and other relevant forms of communications strategy.

We provide strategic communications guidance and direction for senior management and other key business representatives, relating to critical issues with the potential to impact on a business.

Our internal communications experience ranges from short-term, project based work, managing communications regarding critical business changes and developments, to leading more comprehensive and strategic internal communications reviews.

We enjoy an extensive network that spans the breadth of local and central Government, and which enables us to initiate and facilitate conversations with key stakeholders, across all sectors, on behalf of our clients.

We possess more than a decade of practical experience, across all aspects of the investor relations spectrum, including managing key communications and engagement initiatives regarding IPOs, acquisitions and receiverships.

A core part of our work is centred on the ongoing creation and management of opportunities for key spokespeople to connect with and tell their story to relevant media – through key business, trade and mainstream media channels. We have a suite of tools and techniques at hand to assist clients deal with the media – including intensive half-day media training sessions, and / or further ad hoc consultation, as required.

Our extensive background in product and services activations has been honed over many years, working with a wide range of high-profile brands, in dozens of sectors, and numerous countries.

We have a proven track record working with brands and businesses to effectively mitigate fallout from potentially critical issues or situations - including via media management, stakeholder consultation, engagement and communications.

Our experience with the design and execution of social media engagement strategies spans both short-term, project-based activity, and long-term management of social media platforms – including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram. We have a suite of bespoke tools and techniques designed to build client confidence across key social platforms, via interactive training sessions and ongoing support.

We’re well versed in the public engagement space, and assist private and public sector clients to engage in dialogue (and action) that helps position them advantageously, and improve organisational performance.

Our range of associates across the digital, film and print media landscape, enable us to assist our clients with the development of compelling and engaging content across a range of different mediums – to enhance their wider communications efforts.

Kelly Bennett is the founder and Managing Director of the One Plus One Group. Prior to launching One Plus One, Kelly founded Eleven PR New Zealand (an Omnicom company and part of the Whybin\TBWA Group) in 2006. He then expanded the business, setting it up in Australia in 2011, and in 2012 he assumed the role of Regional Director for TBWA's PR and experiential offer throughout Asia Pacific. He is the former Deputy Chair of the CAANZ PR, Experiential and Social Media Committee (PREScom), a former advisor to both the New Zealand Music Foundation and the New Zealand Arts Foundation. He recently completed a two-year term as Board Member of the New Zealand Dance Company, and in 2016 also represented New Zealand as PR Juror at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. A trained journalist, Kelly has 25 years international experience in corporate communications, media relations and marketing.
