Ten months ago, our managing director Kelly Bennett took a punt on reaching out to Sir John Hegarty, one of the world’s most successful advertising figures.
He ended up judging the inaugural Stuff Paper Planes initiative, a competition that showcases the creative possibilities provided by the medium of print. He also spoke at industry events for Colenso BBDO and Saatchi & Saatchi.
Spending time with him was a pleasure and privilege – and to say thanks for organising the trip, he gifted us one of his famous doodles.
We love the irony and thought behind the gesture, which he didn’t need to do, but (like print) will last longer and have more impact, in this context, at least, than anything digital.
